USIT-JOBS provides technology for job discovery and recruitment. It does not guarantee employment, candidates, interviews, or the accuracy of third-party jobs.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of USIT-JOBS, including its websites, account features, job-search tools, employer tools, notifications, application workflows, and interview-scheduling features (collectively, the "Platform"). By creating an account, selecting the acceptance checkbox, or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.
You must be legally capable of entering a binding agreement. If you use the Platform for a company or other organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.
2. What USIT-JOBS provides
USIT-JOBS connects job seekers with employers and technology-related job opportunities. The Platform supports candidate profiles, resumes, job search and saving, applications, employer company profiles, job postings, applicant management, notifications, and interview scheduling. USIT-JOBS is not an employer, recruiter, staffing agency, or party to an employment agreement unless expressly stated in writing.
3. Accounts and verification
You must provide accurate, current information and keep it updated. Job-seeker and employer accounts are separate. Employer users must use an authorized company-domain email and may be required to verify the company website, email address, and phone number. You are responsible for protecting your password, OTP codes, and account access.
Do not share credentials, impersonate another person or company, create accounts for deceptive purposes, or access another user's account. Notify the Platform promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Job-seeker responsibilities
- Profiles, qualifications, work history, skills, and resumes must be truthful and belong to you.
- You must review a role and employer independently before applying or sharing additional information.
- You must not apply for another person, misrepresent work authorization, or submit fraudulent documents.
- You control profile and communication preferences through available account settings.
5. Employer responsibilities
Employer users must be authorized to represent the company shown on their account. Employers are responsible for company information, job postings, candidate communications, interview decisions, hiring decisions, and compliance with employment, equal-opportunity, pay-transparency, immigration, privacy, and recordkeeping laws that apply to them.
Candidate information may be used only for legitimate recruitment connected with a genuine role. Employers must not sell candidate data, use it for unrelated marketing, request unnecessary sensitive information, or contact candidates who have opted out.
6. Job-posting standards
Every employer-posted role must describe a genuine opportunity and must be accurate, lawful, and current.
- No false companies, misleading compensation, hidden conditions, or impersonation.
- No fees charged to applicants as a condition of applying or interviewing.
- No pyramid schemes, unlawful commission schemes, illegal work, or unrelated advertising.
- No discriminatory requirements except where a requirement is lawful and genuinely necessary.
- No malware, credential harvesting, deceptive links, or requests for financial-account credentials.
USIT-JOBS may review, reject, deactivate, or remove postings that violate these Terms or create risk for users.
7. Applications and hiring decisions
Sending an application does not guarantee review, an interview, an offer, or employment. Search order, matching, profile-strength indicators, alerts, and recommendations are informational tools and are not hiring decisions. Employers remain solely responsible for evaluating candidates and making lawful hiring decisions.
8. Interviews, Vedameet, and calendars
Employers may offer interview slots and candidates may confirm one available slot. The Platform may generate a Vedameet meeting link and calendar event after confirmation. Users are responsible for time-zone accuracy, attendance, suitable equipment, and any information shared during an interview. Meeting and calendar availability may depend on third-party systems and is not guaranteed to be uninterrupted.
9. Third-party jobs and services
Some job listings and company information may come from third-party job-data providers, and some links may send you to an external application site. Authentication, email, SMS, maps or ZIP-code lookup, meeting, calendar, storage, and other functions may also rely on third-party providers. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their services. USIT-JOBS does not control external sites and is not responsible for their availability, accuracy, security, or hiring practices.
10. Email, SMS, and notifications
You may receive transactional communications needed to verify your account, reset a password, confirm an application or interview, provide security alerts, or operate a requested feature. Optional job alerts, newsletters, and promotional messages are controlled by available settings and applicable consent rules. Carrier messaging and data rates may apply to SMS. Disabling optional messages does not prevent essential account or security notices.
11. User content and permissions
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant USIT-JOBS a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, and transmit that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Platform and provide the features you request. You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit the content and that it does not infringe another person's rights.
12. Acceptable use
- Do not scrape, bulk-download, resell, or build an unauthorized database from Platform data.
- Do not probe security, bypass access controls, introduce malicious code, or disrupt the service.
- Do not harass users, send spam, collect credentials, or use candidate data for unrelated solicitation.
- Do not copy Platform branding, code, or content except where law or written permission allows it.
13. Privacy and data handling
Personal information is processed to provide accounts, applications, employer tools, interviews, notifications, security, and user-selected preferences. Public-profile and resume visibility depends on the controls available in your account. The USIT-JOBS Privacy Policy should be read together with these Terms.
14. Intellectual property
The Platform software, layout, branding, and original content are owned by or licensed to USIT-JOBS and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Platform for its intended job-search or recruitment purposes; they do not transfer ownership rights.
15. Suspension and termination
USIT-JOBS may restrict, suspend, or terminate access; remove content; or preserve relevant records when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, investigate suspected fraud or security incidents, comply with law, or prevent harm. You may stop using the Platform at any time. Some records may be retained where required for security, legal, fraud-prevention, or legitimate operational purposes.
16. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided on an "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. USIT-JOBS does not guarantee that every user, employer, company, job listing, resume, message, interview, or external link is accurate, legitimate, available, or suitable. Users must use reasonable judgment and independently verify employment opportunities and parties.
17. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, USIT-JOBS is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost opportunities, lost profits, loss of data, hiring decisions, user conduct, or third-party services arising from use of the Platform. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
18. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated when Platform features, providers, legal requirements, or business practices change. The updated date will be shown at the top. Material changes may also be communicated through the Platform or registered contact details. Continued use after an update becomes effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
19. Applicable law and disputes
These Terms are subject to applicable United States federal law and the mandatory laws of any jurisdiction that cannot be waived. Before starting formal proceedings, users should contact USIT-JOBS through the support channel available on the Platform and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue. Any unresolved dispute must be brought before a court with lawful jurisdiction over the Platform operator and the dispute.
20. Contact
Questions, account concerns, suspected fraud, or legal notices should be submitted through the support channel made available within USIT-JOBS. Do not send passwords, OTP codes, government identification numbers, or financial credentials in a support message.
